(KATC) — It’s bowl week for the Ragin’ Cajuns who will take on Tulane this Saturday in the Cure Bowl. After starting out the season with a record of (2-5), the Green Wave have rattled off four wins over the last five games to earn a spot in Orlando.
The Green Wave’s late season run was powered in large part by their stout defense. The ‘Greenies’ are allowing less than 21 points per game, ranking them first in scoring defense in the American Athletic Conference.
Four Tulane defenders landed on the All-ACC team — including defensive backs Donnie Lewis and Roderic Teamer.
“I think Tulane certainly has good team speed,” said Billy Napier on Monday. “I think they’ve got some players on defense, that were preseason all conference. Number of secondary players that are talented. Front with some size.”
