The Acadiana Cane Cutters are one win away from another TCL Championship after beating Victoria 2-1 Thursday.
Acadiana used a pair of early runs to take an early lead. In the first, Kyle Bayles hit a single to left with two on giving the Cutters a 1-0 lead. The following inning a Mason Corbett floater gave Acadiana a 2-0 lead. That was all the Cane Cutters needed. Lafayette native Miguel Reyes pitched deep into the game as the Cane Cutters beat the Generals 2-1.
Games 2, and if need be 3, will be played at Victoria Friday and Saturday.
