How It Happened: NISH fell just short of the 5A playoffs, after winning 3 of their last 5 games.
The Yellow Jackets haven’t made the playoffs in 5 years, but are determined to break that streak this year. NISH returns 11 starters, including 7 on defense. Outside Linebacker Ja’Braylon Spencer is one of the headliners for this unit, as a Ragin’ Cajuns commit. Yellow Jackets Head Coach Rick Hutson, in his 20th year with NISH, says their slogan this year is Sharpen the Ax. This is been one of his toughest offseason workout programs, which included some Navy Seals training techniques.
