NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference Presidents and Chancellors approved four host sites for championships for the 2019-20 season, chosen through a bid process received from member institutions.
Louisiana was chosen to host the 2020 Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the Ragin’ Cajuns Soccer/Track Facility. The selection marked the ninth time in league history that Lafayette will host the SBC Outdoor Track Championships – the most in league history. The Ragin’ Cajuns hosted the inaugural SBC Championships in 1992 and most recently served as host in 2016. Louisiana also hosted SBC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 1994, 1998, 1999, 2006, 2007 and 2012.
Sun Belt hosted championships include women’s soccer, indoor track and field, basketball, men’s and women’s golf and baseball.
