LSU scored a trio of extra-inning runs Thursday to beat South Carolina in the SEC baseball tournament 6-4.
Capped off by a two-run double in pitcher Todd Peterson’s first career at-bat, LSU struck for three runs in the top of the 12th to beat South Carolina, 6-4, on Thursday evening in the SEC Tournament.
Peterson (1-3) earned the win after tossing the final five innings of relief, as LSU improved to 34-24 on the season. South Carolina was eliminated from the SEC Tournament and dropped to 33-24.
LSU will play the loser of No. 1 Florida and No. 4 Arkansas on Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m.
