Brees hosts FNA camp in Lafayette

Posted

Drew Brees, the founder of Football "N" America, a flag football league visited Lafayette Tuesday to help launch an FNA league in Lafayette.

Flag football is near and dear to Brees’s heart. He played flag football up until high school. From 2014-2016 flag football participation rates jumped nearly 30 percent according to multiple reports.

Brees began the league last year  in New Orleans, a league he coaches his kids in.

"It’s the widest range of emotions," he said Tuesday about coaching his kids. "It’s the ultimate joy, and the ultimate frustration at times because when you coach first graders they don’t always listen to you. At the end of the day what this experience is about is them having a great time and wanting to continue coming back and do it again."

The league is open to kids from K-10. You can learn more about it here.
