Usually when your postseason run lasts 11 innings, it’s not a good sign, but in a shallow Division V field Northside proved to be dominate in Saturday’s state championship beating Family Christian 15-0 in four innings.
Angel Allen was the MVP.
Northside advanced to Saturday’s semifinal without playing an out. The Warriors were the top seed in Division V in a 7-team bracket.
The win was the program’s first state softball title.
