On Saturday, February 8, Festival International will host an unveiling party for the release of the 2020 Festival lineup, pin and poster.
That event is scheduled to take place at Jeffeson Street Pub at 6:30 pm during Downtown Lafayette's Second Saturday Artwalk.
Festival International Marketing Director Carly Viator joined GMA on Friday to share more about the unveiling.
The "Le Carnaval du Festival" will bring a unique fusion of Louisiana and Haiti’s Carnaval cultures to kick off the pre-Festival season. Haitian band, Lakou Mizik, a crowd favorite during last year's Festival International, will perform after Artwalk.
There will be a meet and greet with Festival's official visual artist Tommy Hughes.
Party-goers can snag a poster and pin at the event, as well. A limited number of signed posters and original artwork will also be up for auction.
