Continued rains in Acadiana is brought flood waters to many roadways.
Several roads remained closed while others have reopened.
As a reminder, it is recommended that drivers not try to pass through high water on roadways.
Many of our viewers say that wakes caused by vehicles are pushing water into homes and yards.
Calcasieu Parish
Numerous roadways remain closed in Calcasieu Parish
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office asked residents not to travel on flooded roadways.
"Doing so can put you in harms way as well as push water into local residences and businesses, causing further damage."
Any flood related issues can be directed the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office at (337) 491-3685 or 911 if it is an emergency.
Iberia Parish
At this time, all water has receded, roads are clear.
Lafayette Parish

Scott
The majority of roadways within the city limits of Scott are open at this time. (5/18/21)
Police are advising motorists to avoid Renaud at Roger and W. Willow at Pecan Grove due to high water still on the roadway. Alternate routes should be taken.
If you encounter a barricade on the roadway, do not remove them or go around. They are there for your safety.
Please use caution on all wet roadways.
Please avoid high water and stay off the roads if possible. Some roadways will be barricaded for safety. Do not go around the barricades.
Carencro

All roadways within the city limits of Carencro are open at this time.
Vermilion Parish
The Vermilion Parish Sheriff's office says that a number of roadways in vermilion parish are closed due to high water. Officials urge drivers to use caution when traveling in low lying areas.
