An advocate group is finding ways to get students safely back to school by thinking outside the classroom walls.
Green Schoolyards America, an outdoor education advocacy group, is launching a COVID-19 initiative to help schools and parents develop cost-effective strategies to do education outside.
Experts say learning outside is beneficial to kids both physically and mentally and helps improve focus and behavior.
"Here's the prime opportunity to pivot, it's a really great word," said Ellen Veselack, director of I think school districts could do some amazing things if they just reach a little bit and pivot in their thinking,"
