MAMOU, La. — Hotel Cazan has announced that it will partner with the United Way, Second Harvest and Sanctuary of Praise Church in Mamou to sponsor a community food giveaway for residents of both St. Landry and Evangeline Parishes on Monday, June 22.
The hotel had previously partnered with K&R Commercial Cleaning Solutions to give away 1,000 gallons of professional-grade bleach on June 15.
According to a release, hotel officials said that more than 400 families received professional-grade bleach provided by K&R Commercial Cleaning Solutions during that giveaway.
The Evangeline Parish Animal Rescue also received 75 gallons of disinfectant.
The hotel officials say they hope to help even more residents by offering a community food giveaway.
This event will not be needs based and any resident of either parish is welcome to come and pick up food.
The giveaway will take place at Sanctuary of Praise Church, 1415 7th Street in Mamou, from 2 - 5 p.m.
Each car will be allowed to pick up food for two families.
