Rayne Police say the bridge north of town on Hwy. 35 near Chef Roy's is now open.
According to police, the bridge sank eight inches and the began to buckle, causing damage to vehicles.
DOTD conducted an inspection and made necessary repairs, and the bridge is now open to traffic.
