The very first day of school is an exciting and anxious time for any child. Now, imagine what it’s like for a princess who is constantly in the world’s spotlight. It could rattle some kiddos, but Princess Charlotte made it look like any ordinary day!
Bright and early this morning, Sept. 5, Princess Charlotte arrived at Thomas’s Battersea school, hand in hand with her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and walking alongside her father, Prince William, and her big brother, Prince George.
The young prince looked confident and ready to take on his second year at the esteemed school. And for her part, Princess Charlotte didn’t seem intimated by the exciting new experience.
In fact, upon her arrival, the little princess smiled and reached out to greet Helen Haslem, the head of the lower school, with a handshake and direct eye contact.
Not bad for a 4-year-old girl, regardless of her royal parentage.
Prince William and Duchess Kate looked on with pride, as any parents would do on their child’s first day of school. The royal quartet looked sweet as they walked onto the school grounds together, ready to start another academic year.
And, like any typical family, these parents posted the first-day-of-school picture on social media!
The royal couple’s official Instagram account, @kensingtonroyal, shared a totally adorable photo of Princess Charlotte and Prince George standing outside Kensington Palace just before leaving for school.
Their smiling faces and warm embrace were picture-perfect for their big day!
