A family-owned drive-thru in Lafayette is serving up boil seafood and can say, "We're open!"
Shells and Tails Seafood Boilers opened its doors just days before the stay-at-home order last March.
Despite the pandemic, the father-son duo say business is steady, but being family owned is what keeps it going.
"This is a family owned business. Myself and my son own the business and other family members help us out," explained John Hewitt, co-owner of Shells and Tails. "We get up early in the morning and go crawfishing and catch the crawfish and we come here in the afternoon and boil them."
The restaurant is open Wednesday-Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. It's located at 926 Kaliste Saloom Road in Lafayette.
