Because of the winter weather concerns this week, trash services have been changed. Below is information on those changes.

This list will be updated as more information becomes available

Republic Services

Republic Services resumed garbage and recycling collection on Wednesday. Dangerous road conditions have delayed pickup for every customer by one day.

Republic Services reports many Tuesday customers whose carts were scheduled to be picked up today (Wednesday), did not put their carts at the curb this morning. Residents who missed today’s collection will be collected next week when the regular pickup schedule resumes.

To avoid a missed collection, Republic Services urges customers to roll their carts to the curb for pickup. Sanitation crews will work through Saturday.

Garbage and Recycling Schedule Collection Days:

  • Wednesday customers will be serviced on Thursday, February 18
  • Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, February 19
  • Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday, February 20
  • All customers return to the normal collection schedule on Monday, February 22.

Collection for Monday customers is delayed a week until next Monday. In accordance with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) regulations, crews are prohibited from working more than six consecutive days and must have a day of rest on Sunday.

Monday customers should place excess bags at the curb, three feet away from carts, for next week’s collection. Residents should not be alarmed if bags are not collected when carts are dumped. Crews will be out along the route disposing of bags throughout the day.
