Two wanted for shooting incident near Lawrence Park in Morgan City

Two men are wanted in connection to a shooting incident near Lawrence Park in Morgan City on Wednesday.

Morgan City police say that on October 21, 2020, at 6:49 p.m., officers responded to Third Street near Lawrence Park in reference to shots being fired at a vehicle.

An investigation revealed that several shots were fired after a disturbance. Officers say evidence of the shooting incident was found in the area. No one was injured in this shooting.

Detective identified two suspects now wanted in connection to the shooting, Aris Granger and Caswick Clark.

Warrants have been secured for Granger and Clark on Eight counts of attempted first-degree murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal use of a weapon, Violation of a firearm free zone.

Police say the charges stem from the number of people in the area at the time of the shooting along with the area being a firearm free zone.

Granger and Clark should be considered armed and dangerous, police say. The public is asked to contact the Morgan City Police Department or local law enforcement if either suspect is seen.
