Casinos across Louisiana, and many of New Orleans' largest hotels, are planning layoffs, state records show. The latest, Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel in St. Mary Parish, says 229 employees will be affected by layoffs effective July 1, 2020. They join a number of other Louisiana casinos announcing changes in staffing and operations. The full list, as reported to the state of Louisiana, can be found below:
