MORGAN CITY — A Morgan City man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in the city.
Morgan City Police say that 57-year-old Troy Watson was arrested Friday morning following the incident that left one person injured.
the shooting, according to police, happened on Headland Street. Upon arrival to the scene, police located the victim in the shooting suferring from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hosptial for treatment.
Watson was identified as the suspect in the shooting and detained by officers. He was later arrested and booked in to the Morgan City Jail.
Watson was booked on an attempted Second Degree Murder charge.
