At 90 years Coerte Voorhies has met people from all walks of life, from celebrities to politicians and even just neighbors with a good story to tell.
These stories, the people, places and memories are all catalogued in the front room of his house in the form of pictures hanging on the wall.
A small museum he’s created chronicling all the people who fill an of the numerous stories he has to tell.
When asked about what lead to him creating the project the answer he gave was a simple one, “when you get to be my age you’ve got to exercise the mind, I can look at any one of these and be there instantly”
The pictures hanging up front and center means he can fondly look back at the past instead of having all that history buried in the history books.
Aside from just a history lesson it’s also one that we could all use as Coerte says it “99% of all people are good, they’re really wonderful people.”
