UPDATE: The boil water advisory has been rescinded for the City of St. Martinville Water System.
Due to necessary repairs, utility crews shut off water on the east side of Bayou Teche in St. Martinville to make emergency repairs beginning at 9:30pm this past Wednesday night.
Repairs were expected to take approximately 3-4 hours.
Once the water was turned back on, a boil advisory was in effect until further notice.
