Three arrested in connection with recent shootings in Breaux Bridge

Breaux Bridge Police have arrested three men in connection with recent shootings in the city.

Officers executed search and arrest warrants on Thursday. Those warrants were obtained after investigations into recent shootings in the city, police say.

Multiple handguns were seized and the three individuals were arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.

Arrested were:

Tanerian Babineaux, 21, of Breaux Bridge: Attempted first degree murder and obstruction of justice

Deshawn Batiste, 21, of Breaux Bridge: 9 counts of attempted first degree murder, disturbing the peace, assault by drive-by shooting, and criminal conspiracy

Brenan Jean-Batiste, 19, of Breaux Bridge: Attempted first degree murder, obstruction of justice
