St. Martin Parish Sheriff's deputies are looking for a driver and vehicle that hit a pedestrian on George Dupuis Road and fled the scene.
The incident happened Saturday night around 9 p.m. in the 1000 block of George Dupuis Road, a spokeswoman said. Deputies learned that a man had been walking on the road when he was hit by a vehicle that drove off.
Deputies learned the vehicle is silver, but don't know the make or model of it. The suspect vehicle will have damage on the passenger side, and to the headlight.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and no further information regarding the victim’s condition was available at the time of this release. The investigation remains ongoing.
