St. Martin Parish schools return to classes today on Wednesday, August 14.
This school year is Allen Blanchard's first full year as superintendent. Last year, he served as interim superintendent.
Speaking of students, Blanchard said, "They're going to be excited to be back, be back with their friends, be back with their teachers and ready to learn and improve."
Teachers are also ready, having spent the summer getting their classrooms ready.
St. Martinville's Early Learning Center "has gotten a complete overhaul," over the summer.
The College and Career Readiness Center has partnered with SLCC to give students a jump on college.
Blanchard added, "What I want from our students is for them to have a good experience that enriches their lives and helps them to be well prepared and citizens in the future."
