All lanes are now open on I-10 East past LA 975 (Whiskey Bay).
DOTD reports that congestion has returned to normal along the roadway. The area saw traffic congestion that reached 12 miles in length.
An alternate route of US 190 East was given for motorists to avoid the backup.
