UPDATE: Cecilia Junior High School dismissed early at 12:30 p.m. today due to a water outage.
According to superintendent of the St. Martin Parish School Board, Allen Blanchard, the water is back on at Cecilia Junior High School and school will resume tomorrow September 1 as normal.
The water outage is contained to the immediate area of Cecilia Junior High and will not affect any other school.
Cecilia Primary, Teche Elementary, and Cecilia HIgh as well as all other parish schools will remain open and will dismiss at their normal time today.
Officials want to be clear that the only school dismissing at 12:30 is Cecilia Junior High.
