Decorations were hung and music blared as students at Cecilia Junior High celebrated the end of the school year.
On Friday, the school held parades for each grade level, a chance for students and teachers to say goodbye and wish them well until next year.
The parades started Friday morning and went throughout the day until all students were paraded through. Teachers and staff were lined up and waved as parents drove by with their children.
Students received special gifts from their teachers. They also received any end-of-the-year awards, said guidance counselor Shawne Taylor.
"Students are getting personalized letters from teachers today, they're getting coupons from Sonic, McDonald's. They're getting their certificates for honor roll, their athletic awards, all of the awards that we would have normally had for an awards program - and some bonuses."
