A dance hall in Breaux Bridge is ready to reopen its doors on Sunday after being closed for nearly three months.
They are excited to invite the community back in, but say things will look a bit different.
"We're implementing a lot of the state mandated guidelines as far as social distancing. The occupancy, the sanitizing. We're doing as much as we possibly can," owner Lawrence Patin said.
La Poussiere is the place where people go on the weekends to listen to live Cajun music and visit with friends.
With help from city officials and the city fire marshal, the family owned business is putting plans in place to get it done.
"We take it very cautiously. I don't flaw them for doing what they're doing. We're all trying to get back to some kind of normal," Patin said.
The new set up allows a limited amount of seating and the venue will only be open on Sundays for the time being.
"We're going to do a different thing with reservations, seat people. Do whatever we can to kind of minimize people from walking around," Patin explained.
Although the owner feels prepared to re-open, he says will close if the safety of guests can't be met.
"If doesn't work out when we start it and it gets out of hand. I'll just hit that pause button," Patin said.
