Eunice Police say they have made a third and final arrest in connection with a Christmas morning homicide on Corn Street.

Police Chief Randy Fontenot says 29-year-old Kagon Serie of Ville Platte was arrested at his home on a warrant for the Eunice Police Department on Friday, January 22.

Fontenot says this is the third and final arrest in the investigation.

At 2:46 A.M. on Christmas Morning, Eunice Police Responded to a shooting in the 400 Block of Corn Ave. Upon arrival officers found the victim, 41-year-old Tommy Williams of Ville Platte, on the ground in the front yard of the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arrested previously in this case was Clifford Isaiah Campbell, 20, of Eunice who was charged with Second Degree Murder and Laura Ann Williams, 46, of Corn Avenue in Eunice. She was charged with Obstruction of Justice.

Laura Ann Williams and Tommy Williams were cousins, according to police.

Serie, according to investigators, drove Tommy Williams to Eunice on the evening of the shooting. An altercation erupted and Tommy Williams asked Serie to take him back to Ville Platte. Serie refused, police say, claiming to be impaired.

The argument escalated and it is alleged that Serie handed the weapon to Campbell, who then shot Williams. Serie allegedly took the gun from Campbell after the shooting and removed it from the scene.

Serie is charged as a Principle to Second Degree Murder and Obstruction of Justice. He will be transferred to the St. Landry Parish Jail later today.

A photo of Serie was not yet available.
