There will be a special board meeting of the St. Landry Parish School Board today, Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at 4:00 P.M. at the St. Landry Parish School Board Resource Center.
The only item on the agenda is an emergency declartion that would give the superintendent authority to handle issues without a board meeting. We've asked for a copy of the document and will post it as soon as we have it.
The board has recently implemented Board Docs, a software system that allows the public to easily see board meeting dates and agendas, as well as minutes from past meetings. One of the features is the ability for the public to see attachments to agenda items. To access board docs for St. Landry Parish, here..
Several other school systems, including Acadia, Vermilion and Lafayette parishes, have passed almost identical declarations giving their superintendents these powers.
