Opelousas Police are investigating a suspicious death on Kim Drive.
On March 29, 2023, at 6:25 pm, officers with the Opelousas Police Department responded to a call of a medical emergency in the 500 block of Kim Drive.
The police chief says a man in his mid-twenties was found dead.
The male victim had suffered from a significant injury that proved fatal. Paramedics determined that the victim had succumbed to his injuries.
The coroner was notified and responded to the scene. According to authorities, an autopsy has been ordered and investigators will be awaiting the results to determine the direction of the investigation.
