Anyone lose a cow?
The Louisiana Brand Commission is attempting to locate the owner of a stray cow found near Opelousas.
The Sheriff's Office says the cow strayed from the Highway 357 area south of Opelousas and was located on someone's property.
The cow appears to be in good condition.
The Sheriff's Office shared a black and white photo of the animal to their Facebook page. Deputies say the owner must state what color the cow is, along with other identifying information, before they can claim it.
Anyone missing the cow or who knows who the cow belongs to is urged to call the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office or the Department of Agriculture hotline at 1-800-558-9741.
