The Town of Grand Coteau had a ribbon cutting ceremony today for the Opening of their new Police Building.
The event also served as a Black History Month celebration, and two former residents were honored as well.
Former Mayor Mary V. Murrary and Former Police Chief Margaret Coco were the first women to hold these positions for the town.
