A second person has been arrested in connection with a January 6 shooting incident in Eunice.

Police Chief Randy Fontenot says that 25-year-old Jerwasky Thomas of Eunice was arrested in connection with the shooting in the 700 block of Lewis Street.

Thomas was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on a charge of Principal to attempted first degree murder.

Fontenot says an investigation is ongoing as police attempt to locate more witnesses and persons involved.

During that incident, one person, identified by police as a juvenile victim, was shot.

Another suspect was arrested earlier this week in connection with the shooting.

18-year-old Demante Gallow was arrested and booked into the St. Landry Parish jail on a charge of principal to attempted first degree murder.
