OPELOUSAS, La. — The decision to remove the Confederate statue outside the St. Landry Parish Courthouse has yet to be made.
Council members tabled the issue at Wednesday's meeting.
The council's next regular meeting will be August 16, at which time the issue will be up for discussion again.
Council members voted to remove the statue in April 2022, but no deadline was set for when that would happen.
