Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz has confirmed that his office responded to a shooting at the Yambilee Grounds in Opelousas around 1 a.m. Sunday during a concert.
The shooting resulted in the death of a 28-year-old Bunkie man. He was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Detectives are currently working on the case and no further information is being given at this time.
