The forecast has officially settled back down into a standard summer forecast for the early days of August.
Highs are sitting back around 90 degrees, with a heat index stretching into the triple digits with all the moisture available in the atmosphere.
Despite a saturated atmosphere showers will be a little more isolated Thursday with only one or two popping up in the afternoon, making it a mostly/partly sunny day.
This will be the forecast through the rest of the work week and into the weekend.
There's a couple trouble spots in the tropics with potential development occurring in the next week, neither of these systems pose a pending threat to the Gulf of Mexico
