Plenty of sunshine through mid week

A fast moving front has cleared the region early Tuesday morning which has cleared out the skies and freshened up the temperatures in Acadiana through the middle of the week.

Plenty of sunshine will help push temperatures into the low 60s but a solid breeze out of the north will keep that wind chill sitting down in the upper 50s through Tuesday afternoon.

Once the sun sets temperatures will drop quickly and by Wednesday morning we'll be looking at lows in the upper 30s leading to a little patchy frost, especially in the more rural portions of south Louisiana.

Sunshine continues through Wednesday with clouds drifting into the area on Thursday as the atmosphere gets ready for a round of intense thunderstorms.

The chance of some severe weather still looks likely on Saturday morning with the highest chances just off to our northwest, it'll be important to stay weather aware early this weekend.

Active forecasts can change quick so it'll be crucial to keep up to date with all the latest forecast details.
