The New Iberia Police Department is asking for help from the public in locating a shooting suspect.
Officers say they responded to the area of Paul and Sis Street around 6:30 pm on Monday, June 29 to the report of shots fired.
Once on scene, officers say they learned that a vehicle occupied by a woman and a small child had been struck by several bullets.
The department says they are now looking for 29-year-old Anthony Grogan.
Warrants have been issued for his arrest on the following charges:
- Attempted First Degree Murder (2 counts)
- Illegal Use of Weapons
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Possession of a Firearm within a School Zone
- Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
- Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway
