Mid-week weather staying quiet

Posted
and last updated

It's another very hot, summer like day across Acadiana with the quiet pattern we've had so far this week continuing for at least another day.

Temperatures will return to the mid 90s where they've been perched for the last couple of days, and the heat index likely sitting in the upper 90s.

Drier air looks like it will remain on tap for at least another day, so while it will be plenty hot, in the shade it will feel better than a typical summer day.

As is always the case down here that moisture won't stay out of the area for long, and that bump in moisture may lead to a few scattered showers through Thursday afternoon.

The moisture also means that while temperatures may be down by a degree or two the heat index isn't going to change much, meaning the heat will stay on through the week.

Taking a quick peek over to the weekend we will get a another quiet day for the first half, however, the weather becomes more unsettled as we begin to wrap the weekend up.
