Ruben D. Henderson, III has been named Parade Marshal for The Lafayette Mardi Gras Festival, Inc. 62nd Annual Parade.
That parade will roll in Lafayette at 1:00 p.m. on Mardi Gras Day.
Mr. Henderson is Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana and a graduate of Alfred Barbe High School. He holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration from ULL.
He has received numerous honors including: 2019 Sunbelt Conference Faculty of the Year Award, Southwest Champion of Service Award and Tribute to Excellence Award from the National Association of University Women. He currently serves on the Ragin' Cajuns Athletics Department Strategic Planning Steering Committee, the Leadership Institute of Acadiana Engagement Committee and the University Diversity Advisory Council. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
