The no wake zone that has been in place in Lower St. Martin Parish due to the threat of high water has been rescinded.
The no wake zone was issued in February of this year for Stephensville and Belle River. During that time, the water level was high enough for boaters traveling at a high rate of speed have the potential to throw additional water into yards and homes along the bayou.
Since the time of issuance, Lower St. Martin Parish has seen several instances of flooding on roadways and in homes in the area.
