There was an adult and youth division, along with an "extra side dish" division. KATC's own Jamie Angelle helped judge the cookoff.
All proceeds will benefit the SMP 4-H livestock program.
Cooking began at 7:30 this morning.
Judging began at 11:30 and a chicken drop, auction, and raffle took place at 2 p.m.
Hannah Devall, a 4-H agent with St. Martin Parish, explained that she hopes the event allowed students to use their skills.
"We love when we have families come out and do our different 4-H events throughout the year, whether it be livestock or any other program area, so we hope to just be a good family fun event where those students are able to use some of their skills that they work on throughout the year."
