A Back To School Bash was held today at Parc Hardy in Breaux Bridge.
The event began at 2 p.m. and was hosted by local business owners.
Families could get free school supplies and free haircuts. There also were fun jumps for the youngsters and a dance contest for the brave or confident.
The event continued until 7 p.m.
"We're giving away booksacks, school supplies, gift cards, hairstyles, hair cuts, food, we're doing it big," said Erin Darby, a boutique owner. "Most of the kids are here to get school supplies, and to have fun."
