Since he as a kid Matt Courville has been an outdoor’s man. Enjoying squirrel hunts with his dad, Matt turned his love of hunting into a full fledged career.
After graduating from UL with a business degree he knew that he wanted to start his own business but what that business was he wasn’t sure. Soon though a three month course in taxidermy would provide the answer.
A taxidermist who also processes game Matt has been able to turn his hobby into a way to provide for his family. He’s become part butcher, part chef, and even in some cases a part time hunting buddy.
“First they start out as customers and the next thing you know we’re hunting together” said Matt.
While taxidermy man not be a family business, the hunting part certainly is a family affair. His wife is an avid hunter as well and even the son they’re expecting in December will be joining in.
“He’s set up all ready, he’s got all is little gear, even if he’s not here yet. “
