Pizza Village employees show support to manager battling liver cancer

and last updated

A show of support Wednesday for the general manger of Pizza Village on Moss Street in Lafayette.

Kirk Trahan has liver cancer that has spread and he is now in hospice care.

His employees had to cancel their benefit because of the coronavirus, so instead, they organized a drive-by parade.

When they passed by his house, they honked and cheered to let Kirk know how much they miss him.

"With everything going on, we haven't been able to have contact with him, so this is just our way of showing how much we appreciate him, everything he's done for us in the past, we're thinking about him and that he's in our prayers," explained manager Walton Prejean.

Pizza Village employees have created a GoFundMe account for Trahan. You can find that here.
