On Sunday, for the first time ever, Lori and Travis McGrew hosted a workshop to share their story.

The McGrews are the parents of Madeline Noelle McGrew, the baby whose existence spurred her parents to create Maddie's Footprints.

The mission of Maddie’s Footprints is to provide support to families coping with miscarriages, stillbirths or the loss of an infant.

Today's workshop, "Discovering Purpose Inside Loss," was an extension of what the McGrews have done since they lost their daughter: share their story in order to help others.

"We're here to let a community know that they are not alone, that they do not have to walk this journey by themselves," said Reecie Gilmore, program director for the non-profit. "That they have an army of support behind them, that they're surrounded by people that know and understand this type of loss."
