A Lafayette man is accused of overcharging a buyer for tickets to the College National Championship football game between LSU and Clemson, said Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator.

The victim, from Shreveport, told deputies that he purchased a pair of tickets in section 104 of the Mercedez Benz Superdome from Michael Dean Simmons for $3,654. When the victim arrived at the game, Simmons presented him with tickets in section 647. The victim refused the tickets and Simmons would not refund the money, according to a release.

Simmons turned himself in at the Caddo Correctional Center Wednesday. His bond was set at $15,000.
