It will soon be a lot easier to drive electric vehicles here in the Hub City. The first electric vehicle charger has been installed in Lafayette.
The charger is located in the front of Cajun Field and will open in August.
It will be the first in the state to be powered by solar energy. The expected cost is $0.99 per hour, which covers operation and maintenance cost.
Currently the screen reads "Station disabled," but that will change after a ribbon cutting ceremony August 1st.
