The Jeff Davis Parish School board voted tonight to name the district's newest elementary school Jennings Elementary.
The board's Building and Grounds Committee selected that name out of three options.
In March, voters approved a sales tax extension to fund the new Pre-K to sixth grade school.
The campus is expected to open in about two years.
