Two more suspects arrested in fatal shooting of 17-year-old in Jeanerette

Two men wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in Jeanerette last week are now in custody.

The Jeanerette City Marshal's Office says 19-year-old George Bobb IV and 19-year-old McClellan Molo were arrested in Rapides Parish. They both were wanted on 2nd Degree murder charges in connection of the shooting death of 17-year-old Kendall Thompson.

Two were arrested over the weekend in connection with this shooting. Rondrick Grant, 21, and Travlon Dauphine, 20.

Jeanerette City Marshal Fernest "Pacman" Martin explained, "With the use of some technology we had in place and intel, we were able to learn the location of their whereabouts...with some of the technology we had in place, we were able to track their location and monitor their movement."

The fatal shooting happened Friday January 17, 2020, at around 6:00 p.m. near the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and Guiberteau Street. An altercation is believed to have led to the shooting.

Thompson was remembered by members of the St. Mary Parish Fire District #11 where he served as a junior firefighter.
